The 408 Cheytac cartridge packs a Hell of a punch and has super long range ballistics, without all the invasiveness that you get from the BMG rifles. It has been claimed that it out fly's a Military spec 50 BMG past 600 yards.
We decided there might be a market for a Semi-Auto 408 Cheytac if it were light enough to actually hunt with and reliable enough to trust in . It had to hold 5 rounds, be sleek and more hunt looking than a Black Gun. We took the best ideas from the most trusted manufacturers and put it together in a great new small package. After it was complete we realized that it could handle the 505 Gibbs, and new 375 Cheytac cartridge without any changes. The cartridges are the same length as the 408 Cheytac , they load and feed identical in the VR1 rifles. The VR1 rifle is the only semi-automatic rifle in the World available in the Legendary 505 Gibbs, 408 Cheytac, 375 Cheytac and 338 Lapua.
