375 Cheytac.This is a fairly new cartridge development. Again the main cartridge is the 505 Gibbs, it just made sense to squeeze it down past the more expensive 408 bullets to be able to shoot the standard cheaper 375 bullets. I personally do not suggest shooting these bullets much faster than 2900 fps only for the reason of fowling - the faster you shoot them the more your cleaning. Their are lots of 375 bullets to choose from. We now have the 350 gn Aluminum Tip bullets from RMB, these are the finest bullets on the market. What I like best about the new 375 Cheytac cartridge is the low pressures and high velocity. Of course less recoil is nice too.
Seems like the 375 Cheytac was made especially for the VR1 rifles. 375 Cheytac conversions for your VR1 are available and change out just like the rest of our conversions, no tools required. It's hard to beat the simplicity and function of the VR1 rifles..
And of course we have the 375 Cheytac ammunition in stock..........
